Week 5 College Football Predictions

Week 5 College Football Predictions

So Tricky.

The first rule of Week 5 predictions, is that you do NOT talk about Week 5 predictions (or FSU).
Week 4 record 5-2 (plus a UT game that didn't happen, WHOOPS) Season record: 18-9
After last week, I considered not watching football ever again. I did something terrible. I put my faith in Clemson. And I was reminded yet again of the #1 rule of college football, Do NOT believe in Clemson.
Lots of other interesting things happened though. Oklahoma looked pretty beatable, giving up 7000 yards of offense to my new hero, Clint "He's So Tricky" Trickett, who weighs less than me. BYU? Still undefeated. Alabama? Lane Kiffin is somehow not destroying the team. Mississippi State? Sooooo ready to compete this year, but they should stop stomping on people. Kind of a dick move. FSU? LET'S JUST NOT TALK ABOUT IT, OK??????
Ok State 48 - Texas Tech 24
This should give us an early indication of how Ok State will fare in Big 12 play. This will also give us a chance to look at Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury. Mmmmmm. Too bad he's going to look super sad most of the game. They're not very good
Arizona State 34 - UCLA 24
Arizona State is basically going to do what Texas SHOULD have done two weeks ago. But with less messed up coin flips and more offense.
Georgia 30 - Tennessee 17
Ahh, Tennessee. So much potential. So many dreams to be crushed this year. This game is probably close early on, but Gurley should eventually run over enough Volunteer defenders to make the officials call the game sometime early in the 4th quarter.
FSU 40 - NC State 17
Hey, you guys wanna see an upset this week? Well...it's probably not going to happen here. The ACC is baaaaaaad this year. See: Clemson, Va Tech, Virginia, and UNC (SEVENTY points to East Carolina??????). If FSU loses this game, they might drop out of the top 25. A loss to an ACC team would be THAT bad.
Boston College 37 - Colorado State 13
Is this really what you call football, Tim? Your schedulers should be ashamed of themselves.
Texas A&M 45 - Arkansas 38
Hey A&M, thanks for joining the 2014 season (that SC game doesn't count since they didn't realize they were supposed to play that day). Look, the SEC West is going to be BRUTAL to navigate this year. If Arkansas can hang around all game they might have a shot at the end. But it's going to be tough to keep up the scoring that Kenny Trill Hill will almost certainly generate. This game should be a good litmus test for both teams.

Trill: definition - a combination of true and real,
slang used by Texas rappers.
Aaaaaand I pretty much stand by my UT prediction from last week. Here it is again in case anybody missed it:

UT 38 - Kansas 10
Texas football, you have my attention for the rest of the year after the heartbreaker in Dallas. This team is sooooo young and inexperienced. But there are a ton of positive signs. Tyrone Swiggity Swoopes is at least 5 of those positive signs, but our defense playing much tougher is also another couple.....and then the offensive line, receivers, running backs, and special teams combine for like 1 or 2 positive signs. Yes, there are going to be some tough losses this year, but THIS WEEKEND WON'T BE ONE OF THEM!
